This week the Hotcow Herd were out on the ground with the first 3D smartphone experience hub as part of the experiential campaign “Playing by Yourself Just Got Better”, launching the new LG Optimus 3D in the UK.
The two storey Play Hub was set up in Cavendish Square in Central London on the 25th July, inviting consumers to interact with the main features of the 3D phone through four different zones. During the whole week, people were able to experience the photo, video and gaming capabilities of the 3D handset and learn with the Gurus how to get the best out of the phone.
To prove how “Playing by Yourself Just Got Better”, we had daily competitions going on in the gaming zone – giving away a money-prize voucher for the person who had the fastest lap time of the day. The fastest time of the week will get a brand new 3D phone!
In the photo zone, our Play Girls and Play Boys were inviting people to share a ride on a Harley Davidson and have their picture taken in 3D – the most likes on the Facebook photo will also have the chance to win the 3D handset in the end of the campaign!
To quote Alex Windle, Head of Mobile Communications Marketing LG – UK and Ireland, “glasses-free 3D on our phone is truly amazing, but our customers need to see it to believe it. That’s why with Hotcow we are rolling out this campaign that wont just tell people about our product, it will enable as many people as possible to experience the magic for themselves – and then tell their friends about it.”
