Celebrating Creativity #36 – Absolut

There is a big trend at the moment where brands are exploring the possibilities of using bus stops for creative and engaging experiential activities to capture the attention of waiting passengers. Absolut vodka have stepped up to the plate with this effort in Chicago.

The beverage company have always used creative connections in their advertising campaigns in the form of collaborations with artists and designers. For this guerrilla marketing initiative, Absolut have transformed nine bus shelters into stylish lounges in which you wouldn’t mind sticking around to wait for the bus.

Following the same concept of their Lemon Drop, Twist and Bloody flavours, each Absolut shelter was themed around the style and personality of the products. These pictures are the result. They converted the bus stops into cool installations with luxury style seating, stunning colours and even tropical plants. A well executed campaign that is hard to ignore!
