Celebrating Creativity #18 – Serbian Suicide prevention

Ambient suicide prevention A bit more of a poignant celebration of creativity today from Serbia where 40 people a year attempt suicide by jumping from Belgrade’s bridges.

Serbia’s Suicide Prevention Office recruited McCann Erickson to help the troubled people that head to Belgrade’s tallest bridge and they devised this simple ambient installation. In an attempt to break through the usual clutter of messages that may have lacked impact, they installed this projection on to the water which, according to McCann Erickson, could only be seen when looking down from the bridge.

It is easy to get caught up in the sell sell sell world we live in now and it is nice to see creative solutions being applied to more serious problems.
