To launch the recent film ‘Life of Pi’, Paris went all out and treated a crowd of guests to a fantastic immersive experience. Life of Pi, which translates to “The Odyssey of Pi” in French waters follows the story of a young man who survives a disaster at sea and is hurtled into an epic journey of adventure and discovery.
Guests of the cinema experience were invited to watch the film in a decked out swimming pool, with a large screen, and boats as seating.
Whilst the concept behind this experiential campaign is fantastic, I would worry about getting a slightly sore back, and if this could be done again, a few animals (real or projected) here or there wouldn’t go a miss!
Either way, we think this was a great experiential idea that certainly would have added to our cinema viewing pleasure!
