Hyundai Virtual Test Drive Experience We have seen some great examples of car brands using experiential marketing to offer consumers the ultimate test drive experience. This recent example from Hyundai in South Africa proves that experiential is the way forward in order to create an emotional connection with consumers.

To launch the new generation of i30, Hyundai created a playful virtual test drive experience using real cars parked in front of bars and restaurants, attracting the attention of everyone around it.

In order to play the game, users had to connect with their Facebook profiles and compete against each other in a projected race simulation. Sitting inside the car, players got to learn about the vehicle, its new features, and work together to collect the icons representing the vehicle specs for power-ups and a higher score.

The experience was streamed live outside the venues and pictures of the players were captured and posted to their Facebook wall.
