Mentos Spacehoppers Marketing Stunt

mentos experientialIt’s plain to see that that there is at least one Seventies baby in the field of experiential marketing. A marketing push for Mentos chewing gum has seen teams of space hopper riders taking over the city streets of  the Canadian cities of Toronto and Montreal, providing both an eye-catching spectacle a opportunity for build word of mouth buzz for the brand.

Conceived as part of the ‘Make Your World Go Rounder’ campaign, stunts were staged which saw children and adults dressed in white jumpsuits riding their red hoppers to a central plaza. Ad agency Cossette covered the ground in paint as breakdancing ensued to a soundtrack provided by Michael Mooney.
