Customers want ideas on how to cook for family and friends at home

cooking at homeAccording to Marketing Week, people’s shopping habits are changing with a surge in consumers spending more time cooking at home. With 55% of shoppers making cut-backs on eating out wherever possible, eating-in is proving to be the more cost effective option.

Many shoppers do not know where to start in terms of how to cook certain dishes, what to pair foods with and how to be mindful of the endless ways in which to consume products.

This is an incredible opportunity for brands to show customers all the diverse ways for consuming your product to increase sales, said Sally Durcan, MD. Consumer engagement is key as 64% of consumers will make a purchase after their first product trial.

With summertime around the corner, consumer spending will focus on seasonal trands such as BBQ’s, picnics and friends night in. This is where brands can gain more consumer purchases both for everyday spending and occasion based spending with product sampling and trial.
