Here is another good example of mobile engagement from MasterCard by integrating QR codes with Facebook Places. As part of the company’s campaign “Priceless New York”, MasterCard is introducing a series of experiences in the dining, sports, entertainment, music and travel sectors, which are exclusive to cardholders.
The company has created an installation with old seats taken from the original New York Yankee Stadium and has placed them throughout the city, asking people to check in from these locations via Facebook Places for a chance to win tickets to a Yankees game.
The program is running until the end of August, challenging fans to find the hidden seats across New York. People can either scan the QR code or type the URL, which directs to the Ballgame’s Facebook page. A great way to engage with consumers when they are out and about!
