What a great (and scary) PR Stunt!

Famous for its TV shows ‘Mad Man’, ‘ Breaking Bad’ and ‘The Walking Dead’ , AMC has recently being dumped from Dish Network. In an attempt to make the cable company reconsider putting the channel back on Dish’s lineup, AMC unleashed real-life Walking Dead zombies in New York City posing as EMTs, street workers and shoppers.

The stunt is part of the online campaign Put Zombies Back, which is promoting the new season of the TV show and educating viewers on where to find their channels on TV.

People’s terrified reactions to the stunt are great. Needless to say, it turned into a viral hit, pulling in more than 5 million views in less than a week.
