Brands are always trying to find creative ways to connect with consumers in both online and real world. This is a cool campaign by American Express in the US, which allows card members to turn customised Twitter hashtags into savings.
To join the promotion, users have to sync their Amex card to their Twitter accounts, and then follow @AmericanExpress favourite tweets to unlock the daily deals.
When tweeting the special hashtag offer, the associated discount is stored to their card and savings are automatically applied when the card is used to make a purchase at participating retailers, restaurants and stores.
