This year’s best batch of April Fool jokes came from Google.

First they announced the shocking news that Youtube was closing down to prepare the best video ever contest.

“We are so close to the end. Tonight at midnight, youtube.com will no longer be accepting entries. After eight amazing years, it is finally time to review everything that has been uploaded to our site and begin the process of selecting a winner,” said Tim Liston, named as “competition director.”

Watch the video message below they published on the their community blog:

The youtube closing down prank was followed by the announcement of the fictional  product “Nose,” described as a new service that lets people search online for examples of different scents.

Google said its “Street Sense” vehicles had “inhaled and indexed millions of atmospheric miles’, collecting smells for a digital database that now had 15 million smells  including “inside an Egyptian tomb” and “new car.”
