In April 2009 T-Mobile held a flash-mob event in Trafalgar Square which included 13,000 people and a surprise appearance from pop star Pink.
Advertising agency Saatchi & Saatchi created an ad for TV from the footage from the gathering.
It followed the mobile phone company’s first flash-mob ad ‘Dance’ that took place at London’s Liverpool street in January.
The event was hosted by DJ Vernon Kay and people congregated from 6pm and then participated in a collective karaoke singing renditions of The Beatles’ Hey Jude and Britney Spears’ Hit Me Baby One More Time.
Camera crews mingled with the crowd to catch them on a large screen before Pink appeared and performed her hit single So What.
