Nissan’s Lost Keys Campaign – Guerrilla Marketing

Nissan Key Campaign Nissan had a great way to let people know about the new Altima keyless ignition system by literally losing over 200,000 sets of car keys in various locations with a tag attached stating, “If found, please do not return. My Next Generation Nissan Altima has Intelligent Key with push-button ignition, and I no longer need these.” Created by True Agency in Los Angeles, the campaign cost a paltry $100,000. Not sure on those figures given that you’d have to get 200,000 sets distributed across town. Perhaps they gave them to teenagers to distribute with the promise of free alcohol. Who knows, but I do know that it’s a great concept and must have picqued the interest of a few key finders!
