The Brand
Bobcom is a music based social network that allows users to upload and sell their work in a uniquely transparent exchange. Launched in 2010, the network wants to “give the power of choice, expression – and distinction – unconditionally back to the web user.”
Our Challenge
Hotcow were challenged to generate buzz and talkability on the Bobcom launch night to key influencers attending.
Hotcow Insight
A big, bold and eye catching stunt would be key to getting the savvy music media to sit up and take notice.
What we did
We created a nude string quintet to “ambush” Hoxton Square and liberate themselves in front of a mass audience.
The quintet placed up a handwritten banner expressing their to desire to be “Liberated” and then proceed to play music, naked, before leaving!
So, what happened..?
The stunt shocked the audience drinking at near-by bars (especially when it was in November and freezing) and caused people to stop what they were doing and find out what was happening!
Lots of pictures were taken and great talkability was generated throughout the night.
