T-Mobile TV Advert – “Lifes For Sharing” – “Flash Mob” Style Marketing Stunt

IMAGE-DESCRIPTIONAt 11AM on Thursday 15 January 2009 around 350 people broke into a choreographed dance routine in London’s Liverpool Street Station for the shooting of a new advertising campaign by T-Mobile. In a style reminiscent of ‘flash mob’ events, Saatchi & Saatchi blurred the boundaries of street and stage, life and art as well as television advertising and experiential marketing.
Footage from the event was used across online, direct and retail channels. T-Mobile also created a YouTube channel (www.youtube.co.uk/lifesforsharing) where people can upload videos, and see humorous videos featuring celebrities being taught how to do the T-Mobile dance by leading dancer / choreographer, Briony Albert. The TV ad has been viewed over 15 million times in total over the last 4 months on Youtube.
