Celebrating Creativity # Cannes Lions 2011

Cannes Lions 2011 The Hotcow team are always on the look out for good examples of brands exploring innovation around the world. We love celebrating creativity in all forms and reviewing some great examples of brands that are seriously looking to stand out in the field. More than that, we love developing fun and engaging non-traditional campaigns, and anything unconventional that will add value to brands and their consumers.

Last weeks festivities in Cannes celebrated creative thinking and all forms of communication that inspire and entertain us, revealing the best advertising projects from all around the globe.

The annual Cannes Lions showcased and judged over 28,800 entries in 15 different categories honouring the most creative film, print, outdoor, interactive, radio, design, sales promotion & activation, film craft and integrated advertising to name a few.

There is no doubt the winners this year pushed the boundaries further by creating brilliant integrated campaigns such as Walkers Crisps Sandwich, the risky Romanian ‘Rom’ chocolate bar, and the cracking Bing’s Decode with Jay-Z. You can check out the complete list of winners here.

Each brand has its own story to tell, and experiential campaigns can help brands to engage consumers in an individual brand experience, and create an emotional connection with the brand or product. Yet, what differentiates experiential marketing from other mediums is how we choose to deliver the brand’s message to its audience.

As we are talking about celebrating creativity, we selected our top five experiential campaigns, which we have already reviewed on our blog. Hope you like them as much as we do!

1. Coca-Cola Happyness Truck

2. Tropicana Brighter mornings

3. Lynx Fallen Angel
