Nike are high up in the stskes for brands that have created cool and creative live experiences over the years. Take for example the launch of their Jordan CP1 as well as the brilliant projection mapping for the Jordan Melo M8.

To launch Nikes’s Free Flyknit range, back in August, the folks in China pulled out this creative billboard campaign with agency Wieden+Kennedy.

The aim was to draw attention to the sock-like quality of the their Flyknit range, and in doing so, Nike and W+K installed a billboard featuring a bare foot near to their flagship store in Shanghai. On launch day, “flyknitters” swung down, of course – dressed head to toe in Nike gear, to construct the “flyknitted” shoe creating a great impact and a very creative stunt.

What do you think of this? Innovative experiential campaign or just another PR Stunt? Share your thoughts…
