Celebrating Creativity #113 – Water is Life

Water is Life Awareness Campaign Experiential marketing is a great mechanism to create powerful awareness campaigns and help to address global issues such as deaths resulting from the consumption of contaminated drinking water.

Agency DDB New York created an appealing experiential campaign for the World Water Day targeting high-trafficked areas around NYC where polluted city water outlets are pumped out into the urban streetscape.

Drinking water cups featuring powerful facts about the global water crisis were placed near to these structures, directing users to the website of the project Water is Life, which includes information about how people can get involved through either donating their time, or money.

This is a creative approach to an extremely serious cause, which helped to spread the issues that nearly one billion people suffer with no access to clean drinking water.
